The fabulously self-conscious Westminster Kennel Club holds its annual show in Manhattan each year. The US version of Crufts was the inspiration for the comedy Best in Show, although the real thing often strays into self parody. Do the dogs enjoy being primped and preened? Hard to say. Most just looked bored and, like quite a few of the owners, passed the time by sleeping.
